Almost everything entering an industrial repair shop needs a thorough cleaning to remove mill scale, coal dust and grease. A good cleaning allows CMT’s technicians to properly evaluate repairs that need to be made. Automated parts washing equipment is used whenever possible. The hot water, high-pressure action and quick cycle times of our automated unit assure clean components prior to testing and rebuilding. When parts are too large for the automated equipment, they are cleaned in hot water in a high-pressure wash rack. The wash rack automatically separates all solids and oils from the effluent and cycles the water for evaporation from all dissolved particulates. Another method for industrial cleaning to ensure clean components is the use of a 12’ x 12’ x 18’ sandblasting booth. All three methods at City Machine Technologies, Inc. feature full reclaim with segregation of hazardous materials for proper disposal.
