Electric motors are expected to perform in a wide variety of environments. Sometimes they are installed in areas that are wet and dirty. These harsh environments require special features to motors and frequent maintenance.
CMT has a proven track record of adapting electric motors to meet tough use. Pictured is a DC motor designed for a steel mill rolling application. This motor is exposed to water and scale. This repair process keys in on  fabricating  special covers, gaskets, and sealing all mechanical fits with a waterproof sealant. The motor is then finished with a rust- proof, water-proof paint. These items combined with attention to details outlined by CMT’s ISO program provide the customer with longer motor life.
