There are two new motor purchasing categories: OEM for new applications and replacement for existing applications. While replacement sounds like a simple process, it oftentimes is not. CMT recommends you get a picture of the nameplate or provide CMT the most significant information, such as HP, RPM, frame and volts. And while the nameplate information is helpful, it does not cover the many electrical or mechanical design items that could have occurred over the years like adding mounting, heaters and factory express modifications. CMT understands all motors and will help businesses get a proper replacement. CMT can repair the original or modify the replacement to maintain production and workflow.
